Subscribe and Listen to the Your Best Manager Podcast!
It’s Episode 50!
Can you believe it! It has been just 114 days since the Your Best Manager podcast launched but those 114 days have been jam-packed with so much good stuff… and I’ve got to say, I am so grateful, every day, for the opportunity I have (and have had) to connect with so many amazing people.
That includes the great guests who lend their expertise to this show but also you, the listener who joins me for each episode as we learn together and grow into more effective leaders (and hopefully better people).
Episode 50 – The Best Leadership Moments of the Your Best Manager Podcast
I wanted to take this opportunity to reflect a bit on the past 50 shows, celebrate some of the best moments from this podcast and really just get super pumped up for what’s going to be coming up on the next 50 shows!
So what I’ve done is put together is an EPIC highlight reel /Recap / Top 10-style presentation… thing!
PLUS, at the end of the show, I’ve got a really cool opportunity I want to give you. It’s something free, something exclusive, something you are going to want to take advantage of…. BUT… there is a problem here.
I couldn’t get all the content I wanted to share down to 30 minutes… so… you’ll have to wait for the super cool free offer/opportunity thing until Friday (Episode 51) because I’ve split up this EPIC show into two episodes!
Maybe that’s breaking the rules and maybe that’s me being a bit of a jerk by telling you something really cool is coming and then saying that you have to wait and find out, but, too bad – you’ll get over it.
And on that note, let’s kick this thing off!
We are going to start by celebrating the top 10 Most Downloaded Episodes of the Your Best Manager Podcast
Here we go!
Those were certainly some great episodes (but really, every episode is great!)
Let’s keep going now and move into the heart of this highlight show because what I’ve done is… I’ve gone back through all 50 episodes and selected what I consider to be the most inspiring, the most practical and applicable, the biggest ah-ha moments… and I’ve picked 10 of them to share here!
The top 10 moments of the Your Best Manager podcast.
And before I share number 10, I’m going to share a few clips from some of the runners up… some great moments that I really wanted to share but that didn’t quite make the top 10 list.
AND NOW FOR THE TOP 10 MOMENTS (SO FAR) of the Your Best Manager Podcast.
Number 10 – Leadership Magic from the Happiest Place on Earth with Lee Cockerell (Episode 17)
This is Lee Cockerell. Former executive vice president of Walt Disney world and an absolute treat to have on the show. I don’t think I’ve laughed during an episode quite as much as I did with Lee.
Number 9 – Leadership is a Relationship, so Who Are You? With Barry Posner (Episode 14)
This is Barry Posner, and one of the cool things about our chat really had nothing to do with the episode. You see, Barry is one of the co-authors of the leadership classic, The Leadership Challenge. And although I didn’t know it at the time, his book was actually the most recommended book on the Your Best Manager podcast through the first 50 episodes!
Number 8 – Leeds 1, Manchester Nil, with Leadership Expert, Gordon Tredgold (Episode 003)
This is Gordon Tredgold, leadership expert, business coach and one of the top leadership gurus to follow on twitter… which I think is interesting. While Gordon consistently ranks in the top 5 leadership experts to follow on twitter, I actually prefer catching his updates on Facebook… he’s just such a transparent and personal guy… as you’ll be able to tell from this story.
Number 7 – The Best Job? Store Manager! Former IKEA Leader, Pernille Spiers-Lopez (Episode 25)
This is Pernille Spiers-Lopez, former President and CEO of IKEA North America and former Global Chief HR Officer. And I’ll say right off the bat, I asked the question and she said that about 30% of her home is furnished through IKEA and 100% of her office… so I’d say she’s as much of an IKEA fan as anyone! With that said, she also shared a ton of great lessons during our chat.
Number 6 – Leadership is a Choice You Make to Serve Others, with Peter Docker (Episode 30)
This is Peter Docker, Igniter and Implementation Specialist at Simon Sinek Inc., but more importantly… Simon Sinek’s friend. I really enjoyed the opportunity to connect with and chat with Peter, he is someone who, if you aren’t following right now… well, you should be. You’ll be able to quickly see why from this short excerpt of our conversation.

Alright, well that’s all for today! My apologies for creating so much great content that I couldn’t keep this EPIC show down to just one episode! I guess you’ll just have to come back and join me again on Friday to hear the Top 5 Moments of the Your Best Manager show.
Oh, and again, you’ve got to come back on Friday… because at the end of that episode you get to find out about the really cool, super fantastic, free and exciting offer that I’m making available for you… so… alright, I’ll catch you again on Friday (Episode 51).
